Registered manager – Brunswick House

I am a child care practitioner with 9 years of experience in working with vulnerable children with a wide range of complex behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties; 4 years of this has been as a registered manager. In the time I have worked with Andrea she has given therapeutic support to myself, my team of practitioners and my young people. Such support has included a high risk of sexually harmful behaviour, children who have suffered sexual, physical and emotional abuse, severe neglect and trauma amongst many other adverse experiences.

Andrea has made a huge impact on our team building, morale, development, personal and professional support to me and my team. Her therapeutic guidance in supporting the children and young people has been the best and most quality of therapeutic consultation I have had in my career thus far.

Andrea has established and built excellent relationships with my staff team which has given them guidance and facilitated great emotional resilience with the children they love and care for. I have the upmost respect and believe without Andrea’s contribution we could not have established what we have with our young people and team of practitioner.

Additionally to this her written reports for our home have been excellent and my Ofsted inspectors have commented on these both in reading her work and in consultation with Andrea on the phone.

Director – Footsteps A Path to Change

Andrea has worked with us at Footsteps for over 12 months. In this time Andrea has brought a wealth of valuable skills, knowledge and experience which we have been able to integrate into our service to support and enable the young people placed with us in achieving safe and positive outcomes that are evidenced in their emotional actions, communication and resilience.

Andrea works with the staff teams at the homes in relation to the teams working practice and their individual understanding and emotions. We have found that this work and her time spent with the teams have improved each individual staff member’s recognitions of young people’s needs and their working practice to a greater standard.
