ALC Psychology Services provides a range of specialist services to residential care providers and foster care agencies. At ALC Psychology Services there is a focus on understanding each young person’s presenting difficulties or distress in the context of their life experiences, helping them to develop their resilience and ways in which they view themselves, others and the world.

We are able to provide:

• Psychological assessment of an individual’s needs, providing recommendations for intervention.
• Therapeutic interventions for young people using evidence based psychological approaches such as person centred therapy, cognitive-behaviour therapy and solution focused therapy. We are creative in our work and focus on the strengths of our clients.
• Consultation, support and guidance to foster carers, residential staff teams, social workers, health care professionals and other professionals.
• Workshops for foster carers, residential staff teams, social workers and other professionals. Workshops can be tailored to the individual needs of organisations.
• Supervision for foster carers, residential staff teams, social workers and other professionals providing a space for reflection within their practice.
